L2: “Stacking Up” - 3D Parametric Design and Slicing of Laser Cut Objects
GRASSHOPPER AND 3DM FILES: GITHUB
TASK ONE: PARAMETERIZED GEOMETRIES USING GRASSHOPPER
Three parameterized rectangular surfaces all with controllable side sizes, X, Y, and Z positions with customizable corner radii. All lofted together to form vase-like geometries along the Z axis including an editable degree of twist.

TASK TWO: 3D TO 2D SLICING

GRASSHOPPER AND 3DM FILES: GITHUB
This is the final product of arranging the slices of my chosen geometry upon a subdivided rectangle in the XY plane. Then moving the lofted pieces to the same plane. Then finally baking the resulting curves in Rhino.
TASK THREE: FABRICATIONS
IN MY 5 VARIATIONS, GOING FROM LEFT TO RIGHT, I CHOSE TO FABRICATE THE 2ND AND 4TH GEOMETRIES FROM CORRUGATED CARDBOARD WITH A LASER CUTTER AT THE BTU LAB.
